THE LIFE CENTER

The Life Center is located in the lower part of the Mashpi Reserve. Here explorers can observe and listen to the wildlife and learn about it. In the garden, you can see dozens of species of orchids, bromeliads, passionflowers, and even spot birds.

The Life Center has a butterfly farm, where a great diversity of Lepidoptera native to the region can be seen.
You can also observe all stages of the butterfly’s life cycle. About 200 species of butterflies have been identified in Mashpi, and 21 of those species were bred in the Life Center.
